Eisenhower matrix or box (aka Importance Urgency matrix) is a prioritization tool that helps you visually divide a task list into four parts depending on the best sequence of action: Do First, Schedule, Delegate, Donโ€™t Do.

Criteria

2x2 matrix for personal time management.

Make two separate assessments of each task:

  • Is it urgent or not urgent?

  • Is it important or not important?

Results:

  • Urgent + Important โ†’ Do First.

  • Not Urgent + Important โ†’ Schedule.

  • Urgent + Not Important โ†’ Delegate to others.

  • Not Urgent + Not Important โ†’ Avoid doing.
